Discover the Difference a Taylor Guitar Can Make!
The 400 Series boasts backs and sides of solid ovangkol, an African tonewood with olive-brown coloration, intensely varied grain, and rosewood-like tone. Features include a solid, gloss-finished Sitka spruce top, white fiber binding, an ebony fretboard inlaid with pearl dots, and the Expression System, now standard on all CE models.

Taylor 454ce
With clarity, brilliance, and warmth in a medium-bodied package, this Grand Auditorium 12 string has power and finesse, in a more intimate size.

Taylor 454ce Wood
The quick, articulate response of Sitka spruce is combined with the warmth and sparkle of ovangkol, giving the 400 Series a tone reminiscent of rosewood, yet uniquely its own.

Taylor 454ce Body Type: Grand Auditorium
Taylor's Grand Auditorium combines the width and depth of a Dreadnought with a narrower waist. Its sleek design yields a strong treble zing across the tonal spectrum and sharpens the definition of individual notes. The Grand Auditorium is a strong fingerpicking guitar that also adapts well to medium strumming.

Taylor Expression System™
Designed to faithfully reproduce your guitar's native tone, the Expression System™ utilizes patented Dynamic Sensors™ to capture top and string vibration like never before. Created in partnership with renowned audio pioneer, Mr. Rupert Neve, the Taylor ES is seamlessly integrated into the design of the guitar from the ground up. Onboard tone controls provide added flavor, or set flat for an uncolored, exceptionally clean amplified sound.

Taylor 454ce Finish: Satin with Gloss Top
The finish used to create this guitar's textured satin back and sides and lustrous gloss top was developed at Taylor for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking. This ultra violet-cured finish is also more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes.

“This is certainly a worthy purchase.

The acoustic tone is incredible. Nicely warm, yet totally broad across the whole spectrum. Even when the strings are getting old, the detail and punchiness still shine through. I do mostly finger picking work, and it works will with me.

Plugged in, the CE pickup system is head and shoulders above peizo, and active tranducer...” Read More
