Have only had this guitar two weeks, but I love it. High end shimmer is amazing, low end rich and clear. Midrange is OK, but over-shadowed by highs and lows. I am expecting mids to fill in and richen... read more [+] as the wood opens up over time. Ovangkol is the true bargain in the Taylor line, this guitar sounds better than many 7 and 8 series Taylors I've played. It has a ton of volume and sustain. Finger-picking sounds good but it really shines under a flat pick. Perfectly set up right out of the box - barre chords easy, capos well. I have not recorded with it yet but am looking forward to combining the internal pick-up with a good condensor mic. close [-]
