The 408 Maple Top's mahogany body gives you natural, tonal warmth, which is offset perfectly by the brighter tone of its maple top. Together, these tonewoods give you an incredibly balanced sound.

In fact, he discovered that by tightening up the pickup field on a 408 Bass pickup, he was actually able to create an even better sounding treble pickup.
