Great Pathmaker Tone - Plugged or Unplugged! The Wechter 3101T Pathmaker Thin Line is an innovative 6-string acoustic guitar that plays much like an electric. To start, its patented double-cutaway design gives you full-on access to 19 frets clear of the body. The neck itself is slim for easy playing, and the action is very low - yet precise. In fact, this Wechter 3101T Pathmaker Thin Line gets an accurate final Plek Pro setup so it plays well the second it touches your hands. Excellent construction For great sound unplugged, the Wechter 3101T offers a spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and a nato neck. A rosewood bridge and fingerboard also add to the 3101T's tone and playability. Pathmaker double-cutaway body style The Wechter 3101T Pathmaker Thin Line wears Wechter's acclaimed - and signature - Pathmaker double-cutaway body style. With the 3101, you'll enjoy full access to 19 frets clear of the body, along with an ultra-stable neck joint. Dual pickup system - magnetic/piezo The Wechter 3101T Pathmaker has an onboard pickup system so you can take its sound onstage. Tone arrives via both a magnetic and a piezo pickup. The onboard controls let you dial in the right blend of the two pickups, and you can EQ your bass, middle, and treble levels individually. Low-action for an electric-like playing experience If you're migrating from electric guitar back to acoustic, or if you just want a smooth-playing guitar with low action, you'll love the Wechter 3101T Pathmaker Thinline. Plus, its slim neck only adds to the Wechter 3101T Pathmaker's easy playability. Precise Plek Pro setup Before they reach your hands, all Wechter guitars go through the USA Wechter shop where they get premium treatment from skilled craftsmen. To start, all Wechters receive a Plek Pro setup. This revolutionary guitar technology mechanically dresses each guitar under true playing conditions, identifying what, precisely, the guitar needs to achieve perfect fretwork. What you get in the end is an instrument that intonates better, is buzz-free, and has a personalized setup that's even more accurate than what the finest luthier could ever offer. In addition, Wechter takes the time to install all electronics and put on a new set of strings before they adjust the action, trussrod, bone nut, and saddle to perfection. Then, after ensuring the guitar is in top playing shape, the Wechter team buffs the finish, cleans the fingerboard and bridge, polishes the top, and finally carefully repacks every guitar, every time.
