24 inputs and outputs! Find me another interface that will do what this does. Attach this to your 2408 and you will have the most versatile studio in town. The 24I/O also gives you an excuse to buy high-quality outboard gear, right? I mean, you can't just let those 1/4" inputs sit there unpopulated, right?
Customer Reviewsfrom Eureka, CA March 1, 2013Music Background: Recording Engineer, Luthier, Gear Nerd! 24I/O Expander (is an Expander!)If you've got a Core system allready installed you just simply plug the expander right in. No extra driver needed.Once again - This only works if you allready have a Core PCI card installed. One driver works all three devices available for the PCI card systems. As a matter of fact Motu has a Universal Audio Installer. Pretty cool....... from Rochester, NY June 4, 2009Music Background: Musician, Keys & tenor sax MOTU ServiceI have a 2408mk3 and when I called MOTU with questions a few times they were gracious curtious and helpful. Oh well, could be either who you got or how you treated them... As far a sound goes I am of the opinion you would be hard pressed to do better. Better luck next time!

from March 25, 2006 Great interface but...MOTU recently pushed out a batch of blank install cds. I just received one, and there's no way to download the expansion installer from the website. If you order a 24 I/O (which they are awesome - I used one at another studio), be sure to test the install cd during the week when motu's support is working. Don't wait until the weekend like I did. Now I'm stuck and can't do anything with my 24 I/O. MOTU's been rumored to have bad Q/A, so while you'll get an awesome interface, it can still be unnecessarily painful. |
