I've owned one for six months now, it's recorded a lot of music, and is reliable and convenient to use. Spend a bit of time and care and you can get very good recordings.

I learned recording at a time when multitrack was a big machine with two inch tape never thought Id get the hang of digital recording. Bur man you made it so easy. Everything im use to is right there. Thanks so very much!!

The 2488 MKII is easy to use, fun to use, sounds great, and I highly recommend it. The manual is very straightforward and it seems to be a very solid unit.

I don't know how the original 2488 is but I think the mkii is the bomb. Whatever you put in it is exactly what you're going to get out of it. It is replacing my old Boss BR-532. I like the functions and the ease of use. I also bought the video tutorial and it is great also. I don't see myself ever needing another recorder.
