From Our Research Team:

An Affordable Taylor with ES Blue Electronics!

In the Taylor 210ce, East Indian rosewood adds depth to the sparkle of a Sitka top, filling in a full range of tonal possibilities. With the ES Blue amplification system, the affordably-priced dreadnought cutaway 210ce can now be plugged in to further enhance the Taylor playing experience.

Taylor 210ce Acoustic/Electric Guitar at a Glance:
  • Classic dreadnought volume combined with clear treble
  • Solid spruce top and Indian rosewood fingerboard
  • Taylor ES Blue electronics

Classic dreadnought volume combined with clear treble
A traditional shape refined, the 210ce combines classic dreadnought volume and bass response with the definitive Taylor sound: clear trebles and an open, airy midrange that Bob Taylor's signature design accentuates. Like all dreadnoughts, the 210ce responds especially well to flatpicking or light-to-heavy strumming.

Solid spruce top and rosewood fingerboard
With solid Sitka spruce top and laminated rosewood back and sides, the affordably priced 210ce is an introduction to the Taylor playing experience. Rosewood is used for the fretboard and bridge, while white binding accents the 210ce's dreadnought body.

Taylor ES Blue electronics
Derived from the Taylor Expression System, the ES Blue utilizes a proprietary Dynamic String Sensor and a Taylor-devised active preamp. The result is a high-fidelity, low-impedance signal for clear, acoustic amplified tone.

Simply Beautiful

This is my third acoustic, second acoustic-electric. Once I laid my hands on this Taylor, I sold my Breedlove and bought this. Taylor has always had the brightest sound, which was the sound I was look... read more [+]ing for. The action is so smooth...minimal to no fret buzz...stays in tune for a LONG time...and the Taylor Expressions pickup is amazing. I've played through the system at my church, and have gotten many compliments on the sound. Even for a low-end Taylor, you can't go wrong. I'm blessed to have this instrument, and you would be too. close [-]

Taylor 210CE... a real VALUE at under $1000

by Doug H. from Richmond VA
September 10, 2011
Music Background: made 1 record, studied classical, play regularly on stage.
I rate its sound as 5/5 and the one I played today was set up well, but could take just a little more nut slot attention. Neck is not smooth, but grained if you call that a weakness. Good top. I owned... read more [+] a well played 414CE and the 210CE I played today is different but not a lesser sound. Stong bass, very good sustain, balanced tone and not 'trebly' (thin) as s ome cheaper Taylors are. Rather loud but with a real voice.... perfect songwriter guitar and acoustically remarkable for under $1000. I have owned a lot of guitars from $250 up through $2500 from all the major makers and Taylors are nice and a good value if you get a good one. Most good sounding ones are about $1200 or more. The 210CE is an exception. close [-]

Decent, but expected better

by Rick Grover from Portland, Or USA

I have been playing guitar for over 20 years, just to get that out of the way. I have played many guitars and owned even more, but never a Taylor. So I decided to pick this one up as an entry level i... read more [+]nto the Taylor brand, and I must say after everything Ive heard about Taylor, I just don't see it in this guitar. After receiving the guitar I had to take it to a local luthier because there was an insane amount of fret Buzz. 120$ later (He had to reset the bridge, fix the nut and re-bolt the headstock, as well as fix 3 of the tuning knobs) the guitar no longer had buzz. But this guitar doesn't sound like 1000$ My martin DX1k (599$) Sounds better than this. Not saying this guitar sounds bad, it sounds better than most sub 600$ guitars, but I believe the 999$ price tag is a bloated price based solely on the Taylor name and not the quality of the guitar. The on-board electronics were also unstable and I had to have the wiring readjusted (The wire's were longer than necessary so when played they would rattle inside the guitar) When directly plugged into an amp or Audio interface it sounds cheap, It requires allot of fine tuning to get it to not sound plastic.

Overall I give this guitar a 3/5

If the price were 600-750$ then I would say 4/5 but for a 999$ price tag you can get allot more bang for you buck with martin or breedlove.

This is my opinion, and only based on my experience.

Our Customers Say...

When it came time to start from scratch with the studio, I had a lot of questions. The Sales Engineers I've worked with are really friendly and patient, and the guidance they provided was invaluable; they basically helped build the studio.
