Aphex's outstanding Model 188 preamp is remote controllable, which means you can put it closer to the microphone and take advantage of minimal cable runs. This translates into higher sound quality (long cable runs degrade the sound). In addition, the Model 188 gives you the option of using its internal word clock or connecting to an external one. You get both balanced analog and ADAT SMUX outputs, for maximum flexibility. The Model 188 also includes a 26dB pad, polarity reverse, a low-cut filter, and variable gain. Put a Model 188 in your setup and sound better!
