Ovation is celebrating 50 years of Glen Campbell's career with the Glen Campbell 1627LTD-4 acoustic-electric guitar. With over 50 studio albums to his credit, Glen Campbell helped shape the sound of music in the '60s and '70s and beyond. The 1627LTD-4 is modeled after Glen's original Ovation model, with a few extra touches. Premium tonewood selection
Ovation chose a AAA solid spruce top for the 1627LTD-4, chosen as much for its subtle beauty as for its tone. Spruce has a lively, full-range sound that ages exceptionally well, with harmonics and tonal depth becoming enhanced as years go by. You also get a five-piece mahogany/maple neck, incredibly rigid for long sustain as well as being resistant to warping or twisting over time. A deluxe-grade ebony fingerboard and a walnut bridge round out the selection of tonewoods found on the 1627LTD-4.
