So, I am not a professional musician but I have been playing for a little while now and have recently started playing with the church band. I was playing a Fender CD 140 SCE and I really liked it and... read more [+] thought it sounded pretty good. I went to Sweetwater to look for a new guitar and I was ready to sit and play many brands in many price points, but I wanted to stay under $1000. As soon as I heard the Taylor 100 series guitars I fell in love with the sound and realized that the Fender is pretty shallow sounding compared the full sound of a Taylor (although the Fender sounds great for the price). I was playing a 114ce and thought it was a little light in the volume area so I asked if they had a 110ce. They brought it right out and set it up so I could A/B the two guitars. I fell in love with the 110ce. I obviously left the store with it and when I got home, I realized I could not have made a better choice. What a beautiful sounding guitar. Now I know why people buy Taylor guitars. close [-]
