Earthworks' 1024 Pre is a microphone preamp with a sound as clear and clean as their acclaimed microphones. On the 1024 Mic Preamplifier, the sum of noise plus all types of distortion is 1 part per million. What that means to you is distortion and noise so miniscule, it's practically non-existent! The 1024 gives you four pristine channels in a single rack space. Each channel has an XLR input, and you can apply phantom power via a front panel switch. The phase can be reversed and the channel muted by other front panel switches. Transparent gain is switchable from 5 dB to 60 dB in 5 dB steps. What's more, the 1024 has a 10 volt nominal output capability to take advantage of the capabilities of 24-bit digital. Easily one of the finest mic pres available!
