This is a great card for the money. Runs Solid. it has Alot of effects incuded. You can customize its default settings anyway you need. Emu still updates its software.Great company providing an excellent low budget sound card for the desktop producer. "Buy it"

Great soundcard. Records really well with very, very low latency!

Ditto to careful's advice, probably will be running this card at 16 bit and 48khz sample rate max.

Very professional card for $100.

One small fiddle, I was running old recording software that couldn't handle ASIO drivers so I had to use the mixing software for the EMU to run an insert to route the output to WAVE.

Very pro looking software mixer to control the card.

Basically, you can't beat the price for a 32 bit DSP sound card!

Bang for your buck cards, but only one issue that should be looked at: above 48k the dsp plugins do not work, so don't attempt to abuse this as a cheap 'powercore'...

Why pay more for an audio interface, when you can get all you need in a small inexpensive pack? If you're new in the business, or just make music as a hobby, "E-MU 0404" would be the best choice for clean quality. you can send demo's made from 0404 and other inexpensive equip from "E-MU" without any worries
