That's a major reason the Martin 000RGT is such a wonderful value - it uses solid tonewoods that typically aren't found on guitars in this price range. The top is solid Sitka spruce, a choice wood for organic, well-balanced tones. Back and sides are made from solid sapele, which is similar to mahogany in terms of richness and depth. It's a recipe for vibrant tone that will age gracefully as the years go by.
True Martin craftsmanship in a roadworthy instrumentA member of Martin's Road series, the 000RGT delivers outstanding tone, playability, and classic looks reminiscent of Martin's Style 18 Auditorium model. The top is braced with solid Sitka spruce using Martin's A-Frame X-1 pattern for maximum resonance and projection. The 000RGT's smooth-playing, modified low oval neck is crafted from solid sipo, and the belly bridge and fingerboard are made of Black Richlite, an ultra-stable (and sustainable) material with a similar look, feel, and sound to ebony.
