Good patchbay for the money

Really happy with this purchase so far. After picking up this dbx patchbay and a few hosa snakes, and I was able to get everything up and running for under 300 bucks. I have a small home studio with a handful of outboard pieces, and the patchbay has made my set up WAY more convenient and flexible. I wish I'd gotten one sooner.

dbx PB

I have owned a few of these and these PBs have always been dependable. Even with a small operation like mine I have 3. I don't like crawling around in the dark behind my cabinets. With everything upfront and in front I can focus more on what I want to accomplish ever since I started doing this. I've been multitrack recording since 1984.

dbx pb-48

Not sure what unit the folks on here with poor reviews are using, but I have 4 of these, in constant use for 10 yrs in my studio with absolutely zero problems. Solid as a rock, they don"t fall apart and the simple design of flipping the card for normal or non is wonderful. Who cares about a switch when you have to get behind the thing to add new channels anyway? Nice product.

excellent and still going strong

I purchased this to make trying different preamps in my home studio rack a lot more efficient. I was tired of reaching behind the rack and hooking up things in the dark basically. The dbx is actually very well built and I have never had a problem with signal flow or anything breaking or coming loose. Im not sure why others have had issues but I have never had an issue with the dbx and was steered towards buying it from the salesman saying it had nickel contacts. You can set this up via normal, thru or half normal like others and it couldnt be easier to get up and going in your studio. Patch bays take a fair amount of abuse from constantly plugging and un plugging leads and mine still looks like the day I purchased it 3 years ago. I also compared it to the nutrik and was sold instantly on the dbx. Definitely give this one a shot. Excellent product!
