How Pro Tools Works for You

A few examples of the many ways Pro Tools can be used:

I volunteer my services for a large church here in Fort Wayne where we have a weekly broadcast of our worship services. We record everything to a Pro Tools|HD system. At times, I am recording as many as 100 tracks of audio for over two hours at a time without as much as a hiccup.

Real-time Broadcast
While recording, I'm also mixing live for television broadcast. Thanks to the tactile control surface of our Control|24 console, I have real knobs and faders that allow me to have total control over my broadcast mix in real time using various plug-ins for EQ, compression, reverb, even electric and bass guitar amp modeling.

Anyone Can Use Pro Tools
The beauty of Pro Tools is whether you're on the high end or just getting started, ANYONE can have access to this software. HD and LE software are nearly identical, so if you create a Pro Tools LE session in your church, you can take it to a full-scale Pro Tools|HD studio for further recording and mixing. The files are 100% compatible!

Pro Tools in Action
This past Christmas we produced a large-scale musical that proved the power of Pro Tools. The choir was all over the stage, so there was no way to mic them. In advance, we recorded 16 tracks of choir that were synced up in real time to the rest of the vocalists, actors, and orchestra. While recording about 80 tracks of live audio, I played back the previously recorded material and re-recorded it all.

Pro Tools can be as simple as a way to capture your pastor's messages or deep enough to record a live gospel concert. It's easy to use and powerful. Whether you're just starting out or you're recording a top artist, Pro Tools is phenomenal!
