Alesis has produced affordable synthesizers and digital recorders for years, and now their new Fusion Workstations pack both into a single unit! The Fusion 6HD and 8HD Workstations bring together four different types of synthesis with 8-channel hard disk recording, sampling, effects, lots of expansion possibilities, and full-blown MIDI and audio sequencing in one machine.

The Fusion has plenty of room for expansion, with internal RAM upgradeable from 64MB to 192 MB. Additional instruments will be available, as well as your own custom samples, programs, songs, and mixes, which can be stored on inexpensive Compact Flash memory. The optional Fusion Drive CD-R recorder will let you import samples and export your project files and mixes on CD-R media.
