Why Do We Call Them Sales Engineers?

The term Sales Engineer was created to help our customers understand that the person helping them is much more than a typical sales associate. In fact, most of our original salespeople owned a music studio or worked as a studio engineer, and the level of first-hand gear knowledge they brought to customers was unlike anything else available to the public at that time.

Sales Engineers today are just as experienced and even more highly trained. With an intensive 13-week gear immersion through Sweetwater University — in addition to extensive personal backgrounds as music and pro audio professionals — Sales Engineers today have even more training, resources, and education to help customers reach their music goals.

Rated 5/5

"I cannot thank my Sales Engineer enough for his support and follow-through after the sale. Whether it’s a guitar or amp purchase, or just strings or straps, he treats each purchase the same way. His professional attitude and great customer service is why I only shop at Sweetwater and nowhere else. He offers great service and great prices. He also keeps me aware of specials and financing offers. Sure I may be able to save a few dollars at some other places, but I can’t put a price on the customer service that my Sales Engineer provides."

"It's not often you get the kind of customer service Sweetwater provides. My Sales Engineer was recommended to me and now I know why. Knowledgeable and patient, he recommended the right equipment to get my voice-over studio up and running. Absolutely would buy again when the need presents itself, beginning with my Sales Engineer. I feel confident that I've made the right choice with no buyer regret."
