Multi-Velocity Keymaps for the K2000/K2500

The standard Keymaps offered on the K2000/K2500 can have between 1, 2 or 3 levels of Velocity Switching.

In early 1997, Sweetwater Sound created the first K2000/K2500 CD-ROM which offers up to 8 levels of Velocity Switching in a single Layer. This new feature was pushed to its fullest musical expression on our Sweetwater Stereo Session Drums CD-ROM.

Now, these additional Keymaps have been saved as individual template objects that you can use for your own programming.

Along with the 8 Velocity Range Keymap we have included three or four variations each of the 4, 5, and 6 Velocity Range Keymaps as the leftover Velocity Ranges (ppp, pp, mp, mf, f, ff, fff) can be grouped in many ways.

For your convenience we have also included 1, 2 and 3 Velocity Range Keymaps with all of the parameters cleared out to use as blank templates.

Programming Tips:

Use the "CHAN/BANK" buttons to switch between Velocity Ranges. You can see which Velocity Layer you are on by reading the "Velocity Range" value in the top right of the screen.

When you are Editing different Layers make sure that you are in the correct Key Range as they may not be at the same Key Range as the previous Velocity Layer. (Simple English: Hold Enter and touch a Key each time you want to edit a different Velocity Range.)
