A: While this problem should never occur in the XL version, you might try the following with SampleTank L and SampleTank LE (and any OEM versions of SampleTank).

1. Locate the "SampleTank Instruments" folder and delete the subfolder called "XL Edition Instruments List".
2. If you still experience weird sounds, try deleting all the samples from the "SampleTank Instruments" folder and then copy them directly from the CD-ROM.

Also, make sure you only have a single copy of each separate instrument in your system. Multiple occurrences of an instrument may conflict with each other, compromising performance and generating noise and distortion.
