If you own the Vienna Instruments Symphonic Cube, congratulations! You have over 550GB of data and a whopping 800,000 individual samples. To keep track of everything, the "Cube" comes with a software utility called the Directory Manager. This little utility will help you keep track of exactly where each part of the collection is stored. If you have a hard drive with over 550 gigs, you can install everything to that one location. However, if you have to spread the library over two or more hard drives, you must use the Directory Manager to keep track of your data. If you need to move your Chamber Strings volume, for instance, use Directory Manager to find it and then store its new "home address." If you move something and forget to update the Directory Manager, the next time you launch the Symphonic Cube, you will no longer see that item in your menu. The good news? Directory Manager is very fast and easy to use.
