Here's a neat little trick that will allow you to use a standard foot switch in a continuous controller pedal input. It will work as if you are switching instantly between a CC value of 0 and 127.

Parts needed:

1 Female 1/4" Jack, 1 Male 1/4" Plug, Some wire, and a 10k Ohm resistor

Solder the 10k Ohm resistor between the Tip and Sleeve of the 1/4" Male Plug.

Connect wires from the 1/4" Female Jack to the tip and ring of the 1/4" Male Plug. The polarity does not matter, but for clarity lets just say you should connect tip to tip and sleeve to sleeve. That's it! Now you can plug a foot switch into the female 1/4" and plug the 1/4" male into any normal CC jacks.
