Will The Digidesign ADAT Interface Work With Pro Tools 24?

Digidesign's announcement of their new Pro Tools 24 system at this year's AES show has raised a lot of questions among current and potential users. We'll be trying to address as many of these as we can. With that in mind, "Will the Digidesign ADAT Interface work with Pro Tools 24?"

No. Pro Tools 24 uses a 24-bit word. It is therefore incompatible with the 16-bit word used by the ADAT interface.
