b>Q: I’d like to transfer projects to PC, to fine-tune things but then send them back to VS-2480 for final mix. How can I do this quickly and with the best quality?
A: The easiest way to get tracks out of the 2480 and into a computer is to use the TRACK EXPORT tool under the CD-RW menu. This will save all your tracks as individual, 24-bit WAV files onto a CD-R. From there, you can just drag and drop them into whatever software you use on the PC.
Another option is to find a DIF-AT24 ADAT lightpipe interface and connect that to the RBUS output of the 2480, and then transfer via lightpipe to the soundcard on your computer.
