Playing songs from an iPod connected to a Mac.

“Is there a way I can play songs from my iPod while it is connected to my Mac?”

You’ve obviously noticed that when you plug your iPod into your Mac, the front buttons don’t function, which would apparently keep you from playing music from your iPod. Not so. If you want to play music from your plugged-in iPod, all you need to do is open iTunes 2, select your iPod from the Source list, click the iPod Options button, click the Manually Manage Songs and Playlists option, then click OK. You should now be able to select a song on your iPod and play it through your computer.
