Sweetwater Welcomes 65amps

SoHoH-65B21Blu

Sweetwater is always on the lookout for great tone and killer products. That’s why we’re glad to welcome 65amps to our ever-growing lineup of amazing gear. 65amps’ Dan Boul and Peter Stroud are guitarists first and amp design engineers second. Drawing from Stroud’s extensive experience onstage with Sheryl Crow, 65amps came about from a desire to create roadworthy guitar amplifiers capable of keeping stage volume low while providing the rich and complex sound of cranked amps. Low stage volumes give you cleaner house and monitor mixes that ultimately result in better performances. With the luxury of looking back on more than a half-century of guitar amp history, Peter and Dan were able to identify strengths and weaknesses, and come up with innovative, modern designs that deliver tasty vintage tone, modern reliability, and enhanced usability. Since hitting the scene in 2002, 65amps have been seen and heard in the guitar rigs of music legends such as Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello, Peter Frampton, Vince Gill, and Keith Urban (to name just a few).

Not a company to release just another amp clone, 65amps delivers all-tube heads and combos with innovative and usable features. 65amps’ Master Voltage circuit, for instance, is a giant step forward in power technology. No mere scaling scheme, attenuator, or master volume, Master Voltage preserves your tone, authority, and touch response all the way down to two or three watts, making it the perfect solution for recording and live gigs. The entire line up of amplifiers are hard-rockin’ workhorses that’ll take everything your tour schedule can dish out and ask for more. Call your Sweetwater Sales Engineer to find out which 65amps amplifier is perfect for your rig.
