While many musicians automatically reach for an electronic tuner or a pitch fork when tuning, if you’re playing with an acoustic piano, you’re generally better off tuning to the piano. Hopefully it will be close to standard pitch, but pianos can drift, and you never know how long it has been since the piano was last tuned.
