“I’ve managed to get my Alesis MasterLink into a state where I have a blank CD in it, but it will not eject. What can I do?”

There is a special power up sequence that will force the MasterLink to eject a disc. Here’s the procedure.

1) Power the unit off
2) Press and hold the “play list end” and “track end” button, then power the unit on.
3) Keep holding the buttons until you see the diagnostic screen.
4) Press the right SKIP button until you see “CDR test.”
5) Hit PLAY
6) The tray will open for only few seconds, giving you an opportunity to grab your disc.
