The AWS 916 from SSL is a short-loaded version of the popular AWS 924 console, equipped with 16 channels. There is an upgrade path for installing eight more channels, bringing an AWS 916 to full AWS 924 specs. Aside from having 16 channels versus 24 and carrying a commensurately lower price tag, the AWS 916 is identical to the AWS 924.
