Focusrite has been on a roll lately, announcing an array of killer new USB interfaces. The latest introduction is the Scarlett 2i4, a 2-in/4-out interface with two award-winning mic preamps, 24-bit/96kHz support, and USB bus power, for Mac and Windows PC. The headphones and inputs are up front for convenient access, and there is direct monitoring control for latency-free tracking. MIDI I/O integrates external keyboards and other gear, and the entire thing is housed in a rugged anodized aluminum unibody chassis.
