Q: I want to install a Roland GK Kit (the pickup and internal electronics) in my guitar and use it with a Roland VG-99. Do I have to install a battery in the guitar or can it get power from the VG? There’s not much room for a battery in the control cavity.
A: All Roland 13-pin devices provide power for GK pickup systems, so you should be good to go without a battery.
