After years of hearing Moog synths played in live bands and recordings, I was excited to get my hands on this Little Phatty II. As I took the synth out of the packing box I was struck by how sturdy it felt. It wasn't minutes later that the Moog was fired up and I was using one of the hundred presets to pound out a funky bass line. I was impressed by the fat sounds that were already preset in the Moog.

The fun really started when I began to explore all the sonic possibilities available at the turn of a dial and the push of a button. Oscillators and modulators gone wild! The huge synth bass tones coming out of this Phatty were amazing! It's easy to see why these synths are loved by live players. The ability to create and manipulate these "phat" tones and modulations on the fly makes the Little Phatty extremely versatile, not only in a band situation but even in a DJ rig.
