Before I first used the MA-200, I assumed that it would be an "average" mic in the mid-level price range. I envisioned a decent replication of my sound followed by a constant agitation driven by a need for more. I found that after using this mic in a variety of settings, it would surpass my expectations far more than I could have ever expected.
My research divulged the mastermind behind the creation of Mojave and its high-class microphones. David Royer combines his passion for quality music with his real life Naval experiences (acoustics and electronics) in an effort to provide the industry with a high-end sound at a mid-level price. He does just that.
The crystalline clarity and the full-bodied warmth of this mic allowed me to record a classical guitar during the first half of my latest session and vocals to a hip hop track later on that evening. Its versatility in every scenario justifies its presence in professional studios time and time again. One could go as far as saying it would be the appropriate selection even if one was to pair J.S.
