The Numark CD MIX-2 is a handy piece of gear. When I took it out of the box, I was surprised at how light it was. Setup was crazy simple, too. All I had to do was plug in the power adapter that it came with and plug in headphones. At the time, I couldn't find the 1/4" adapter for my headphones, but the CD MIX-2 has two headphone outputs - a 1/4" and an 1/8".

Getting music to play was as simple as putting in a CD. The beat-matching pitch control enabled me to change the beats per minute (BPM) and vary the pitch slightly so that I could crossfade seamlessly to the other CD. But my favorite feature was the buffered anti-shock memory. I live extremely close to train tracks, and the trains shake the entire house. The Numark CD MIX-2 never skipped when trains went by. It's ideal for any DJ.
