A type of archtop guitar top, typically made from laminated wood that is then pressed into an arched shape rather than carved into an arched shape, as with most solid (non-laminate) tops. While the big advantage to a pressed top is the lower price compared to a carved top, another advantage is that a pressed top will not be as prone to feedback as a solid top.
