When Freddie Mercury passed away in 1991, he was cremated, but his final resting place was not made public. However, a plaque dedicated to Farrokh Bulsara (Mercury’s birth name) bearing his birth and death dates was later discovered in Kensal Green Cemetary in London. Now the plaque has vanished, apparently stolen. So, the mystery deepens; was this really the final resting place of Mercury? Who placed the plaque (it was signed simply “M” — referring, some believe, to Mary Austin, his former girlfriend who inherited his home), and where has the plaque gone?
