MOTU‘s new Symphonic Instrument collection is very cool and it sounds great. Here’s a tip you’ll need if you place the 8GB sound library (which is a file called “MSI.dat”) on an external drive. When installing Symphonic Instrument, be sure to place an alias of the library in the same folder.
Launch your host application, and assign the MOTU Symphonic Instrument plug-in to a track. When you open the plug-in, you’ll see a bunch of Preset locations that are called “Empty.” Double-click on the first Empty preset and assign an instrument to it.,.that’s it, you’re ready to enjoy Symphonic Instrument!
