Q: Do I need a special version of Ableton Live to use the new Novation Launchpad?
A: The Launchpad comes bundled with the Ableton Live Launchpad edition, which is version 8.0.6. If you have an earlier version, you’ll need to install both the Novation drivers and the Launchpad edition of Live. But once you do, you can use any version of Live from v7 forward (in most cases, you’ll want to use the most current version).
