Today’s tip is the final of our five part series on care and cleaning of your keyboard. If you’re coming in late here, you can refer back to our inSync from Monday (5/18/98) to pick it up from the top.
Tip #5: Cases |
Above all, spend a few bucks for a decent case! This is especially true if you are not always the one handling your keyboard. I’m not going to compare brands, but if your rig can’t survive a fall from the stage or off the back of the truck without being trashed, you haven’t got a sturdy enough case. I can’t tell you how many 2-3 thousand dollar keyboards I see stuffed in a real imitation vinyl bag that have taken a hit and have damaged keys, buttons, or displays! How do you think I make my living!
If you have any specific questions or would like clarification on any of these topics give us a call here in the Sweetwater Service & Tech Support department. You will find some very knowledgeable folks here who would rather help you solve your problems over the phone than charge you to repair them. (Really!)
