Q: Do I need to worry about the unfinished rosewood neck or fingerboard on my guitar drying out when the humidity is low?
A: Any unfinished wood can dry out when the humidity is low. Having said that, rosewood is an oily wood that is not as sensitive to humidity changes as, say, a thin spruce top on an acoustic guitar. If the neck or fingerboard begin to get dry, a conditioner such as Planet Waves Hydrate will restore its luster and protect the wood.
