Some of the best clean electric guitar sounds are obtained simply by connecting the guitar to the computer’s audio interface via a DI box – just add a little compression, gentle EQ, and perhaps a hint of reverb. This style of recording can suit funk music, though rumor has it that the guitar on Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick In The Wall” was also DI’d clean and then compressed.
