Ear buds are audio transducers related to headphones. Rather than having ear cups that are placed on or around the ears, ear buds feature very small drivers that are encased in enclosures designed to slip right into the ear. Some ear buds are designed to completely block external noise, others don’t seal so tightly and allow outside sound into the ears.
