Drum n’ Bass is a style of club music originally created by merging reggae bass lines with hip-hop backbeats and commonly performed by DJs on turntables. In recent years the term has come to mean any combination of a bass line from a record of any style with hip-hop backbeats. Considered to be born out of the British rave club scene, Drum n’ Bass became popular in the United States, and became a staple of rap and R & B music production.
