A MIDI command that tells a sequencer to begin playing from its current location rather than the beginning of the song (as in a Start command). The continue command is often issued after a sequencer has been located to a specific point in a song via Song Position Pointer (SPP) or MIDI Machine Control (MMC) commands. It is also issued after a Pause command in order to resume a sequence from the paused location.
