The process of editing a soundtrack to fit the exact length of a film or video, especially if the audio source comes from a differently edited version. Conforming includes the editing (cutting) or replacement of dialog, in such cases as television or airline versions of a film. Certain shots or entire scenes may have been removed from the video prior to synchronization of the soundtrack.
