Bomber Pedal Crackle

Sweetwater Tech Tip Check out the complete archiveClick here »
Bomber

Q: I purchased a Morpheus Bomber, but I’m having a weird problem. When I turn on the effect and step on the pedal, I get a weird fizzy sound like bacon frying. It’s not really distortion, it sounds more like warbly hiss. Is it defective?

A: The Bomber has a trim control on its back panel. This must be set to the proper level in order for the pedal to produce optimum tone. There is a small LED meter on the front panel that will assist in setting the Trim properly.

Our bet is that you have the Trim control turned up too high. Try backing it off (check the meter on the front) and see if this cleans up the sound.
