The latest free software update for the Antelope Audio Orion Studio includes a welcome surprise: new DSP-based, zero-latency plug-ins, including three guitar amps, three guitar cabinets, and four microphones, as well as two vintage equalizer emulations, developed in conjunction with Overloud Audio Tools. Antelope Audio’s proprietary approach to the amp/cabinet/microphone models resulted in incredibly lifelike emulations that respond to the player’s touch just like a “real” amplifier. You can mix and match among the “Darkface 65,” “Top 30,” and “Modern” (with three voicings) amps by combining them with any of three cabinets, including two 2×12 cabs and one 4×12 cabs. Your choice of two dynamic, ribbon, and two condenser microphones can be placed on the cabinet and combined to create a full, rich, authentic tone.
In addition to the guitar amps, Antelope Audio is also including the EQP-1A and MEQ5 equalizers, modeled on vintage Pultec-style EQs. the EQP-1a offers simultaneous boost and cut on two bands while the MEQ5 provides dual peaks and a dip filtering options for shaping the midrange.
This is a free update for registered Orion Studio owners.
