Abbreviation for the American Federation of Musicians. AFM is the largest entertainment labor organization in the world and is also affiliated with the AFL-CIO. AFM represents professional musicians similarly to how AFTRA represents its members, except local chapters of AFM set their own rates for paying musicians.
