The Best Gets Even Better
We are pleased to announce a significant enhancement to the Moog Voyager synthesizer line: Version 3.0. This enhancement requires an upgrade to both your Voyager hardware as well as the new V3.0 software which extends the current single bank of 128 presets to seven banks of 128 presets for a total of 896 user accessible presets. This upgrade is available for all Voyager Editions (Signature, Performer, Anniversary, Electric Blue, and Rack Mount).
Of the 896 user accessible presets, 704 come pre-loaded with patches from such notable Moog users as Herbie Hancock, Rick Wakeman, Thomas Wolf, and 23 others! Additionally, V3.0 adds the following capability to the Voyager:
The External Mixer knob (just right of the display panel) has a dual function that allows you to rapidly change presets as opposed to continuously punching the cursor buttons.
MIDI Enhancements allow you to send either 7- or 14-bit resolution from the Mod Wheel. It also optionally reduces the amount of MIDI data being sent from the Touch Surface. These changes enable the Voyager to work better with older MIDI equipment.
Tested and Qualified!
Digidesign regularly tests all its systems on a variety of platforms. The company has officially qualified Digi 002, Digi 002 Rack, and Mbox Pro Tools LE 6.9 systems to work with AMD and Intel Dual Core processors.

See Martin's 1,000,000th guitar
On Friday, August 19, 2005, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., Sweetwater will host the last-ever public showing of the most rare and exotic guitars made in C.F. Martin's 170-year history, including their priceless 1,000,000th guitar! These exquisite works of art will never leave the Martin factory for public viewing again, so you won't want to miss this! Sweetwater is both honored and proud to be chosen by C.F. Martin to be a part of this once-in-a-lifetime event.
The highlights will include:
- A display of Martin's 1,000,000th Martin, plus the Peacock, the Art Nouveau, the Chinese Dragon, a D50 Koa, and various other stock pieces with a retail value of over one million dollars.
- Prize drawings: First place will win a Martin Backpacker guitar, 2nd place winner receives a box of Martin strings and 3rd place wins a Martin t-shirt.
- A free set of Martin strings will be given to the first 50 attendees.
- A sneak-peak at the inner-workings of C.F. Martin & Co., an American cultural Icon since 1833, followed by a short Q & A session.
To commemorate the building of their 1-millionth guitar, Martin pulled out all the stops to create what is the epitome of the luthier's art and craft. The dreadnought body is handcrafted with extremely rare, and nearly-unobtainable, C.I.T.E.S.-certified Brazillian rosewood. The meticulously hand-cut and ultra-fine detailed inlays by master artisan Larry Robinson include mother of pearl, abalone, 18-karat gold, white gold, as well as diamonds and emeralds. (The inlays were so complex, the folks at Martin were taking bets on when he'd go crazy.) This one-of-a-kind guitar stands as the centerpiece for all acoustic guitars made in the last two centuries - and for centuries to come!
