New In Stock

Among the new arrivals at Sweetwater's warehouse today was the Roland PM-10 Personal Monitor Amplifier. Designed as a portable companion for Roland's V-Drums, the PM-10 delivers 30 watts to a 10" coaxial speaker, there are inputs for the V-Drum set as well as for an external CD or MP3 player, each with its own volume control.

Also new in-stock from Roland is the V-Synth XT, the rackmountable version of the V-Synth. The XT has Roland's famous Elastic Audio Synthesis engine, analog-synth modeling, vocal modeling, and classic D-50 emulation. Plus there's COSM effects, external audio processing, a touch-sensitive color display, and eight universal edit knobs.

Rounding out the new arrivals from Roland is the TD12S V-Stage series from the V-Drum family. The TD-12 has a great new sound module with TD-20 sound quality, mesh drum pads with rimshot capability, an ultra-realistic hi-hat, a solid kick pad that can handle double pedals, and a new stand athat sets up faster and makes playing easier. The TD-12S is available in black or white.

Tach pulse
A signal generated by the tachometer roller of an audio or video transport, one or more times per rotation. Because the tach roller is in contact with the tape in fast-wind modes as well as play or record mode, it can be used to get approximate tape location data when SMPTE timecode data can't be read. Tach pulses sent by various decks to a synchronizer provide necessary information to enable it to stop each deck near the SMPTE timecode location designated by the engineer. Once in play or record modes, the decks will again interlock via the SMPTE timecode data. Tach pulses don't include location information, only speed and direction.
