O.K. Here is my issuse, I just bought a sweetwater computer here is a link to the specs http://www.sweetwater.com/creation_station/pro.php Now I got an HD1 system with the massive pack pro with the extra process card so lets just say an HD2 system... I have all the drivers installed and see them in the device manager... When I goto LAUCH P.T. I get a DAE ERROR -6 which means... Systems with HD Accel cards require Pro Tools 6.2 or higher. DAE Error - 6 can occur during launch if an earlier Pro Tools application version is installed. Now this is a brand new computer so there is NO other version of P.T. on it... So I went the extra mile and totally wiped the system doing a fresh format and O.S. install getting rid of all the other B.S. that was on it... When I goto launch protools I still get the same DAE ERROR -6!!! I was told to go and download the update` which is 6.9.1 which I did and guess what??? The same ERROR... I have hyperthreadind disabled so that no it... Could it be a bad CORE CARD??? If somebody can help me PLEASE DO SO... My studio has been down for 2.5 weeks due to upgrading and now everything is here but P.T. wont launch... Even when I goto DIGITEST the app WONT OPEN and I get DSI ERROR -6!!! W.T.F. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!
Did you revert the OS using our restore utility?
Or did you reinstall from the Windows XP disc?
I sent you a PM, e-mail me and I'll get our service department on this. They should be able to figure out what's causing this and advise whether it's a hardware or software problem.
I did a fresh install from the windows XP disk after formating the dive twice... I got intouch with DIGIDESIGN and they are sending me a new HD CORE CARD... We narrowed it down after trying to install it on another certified Digi PC computer and a Apple G5 with the same error DAE -6...
